Jonah Corsun-Ascher is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, with experience working in both Illinois and Florida. He has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. His background includes both outpatient and inpatient behavioral health settings, with an emphasis on building supportive, collaborative relationships with clients.

Jonah’s priority in private practice is to encourage self-discovery by individuals, couples, and families in order to eliminate obstacles to happiness and functioning. He uses humor in conjunction with therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy to help clients feel safe to make positive changes.

Jonah has extensive experience with substance abuse and addictions of all kinds, and enjoys helping clients work through a range of life issues, including depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, grief and loss, men’s issues, relationship and marital problems, and adjustment periods.  He values integrating all aspects of a client’s support system into their treatment, including family, friends, and spirituality.

Jonah also works at Good Samaritan Hospital’s Behavioral Health unit. He is available for sessions at both the Downers Grove and Naperville offices of AFC.

Jonah lives in Naperville with his wife, and enjoys reading, playing the guitar, and spending time with friends and family.
